Fatima Abrahams is a respected academic, registered psychologist and human resources consultant. She is a senior professor in the department of industrial psychology at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and chair of Tsiba Education in Cape Town. Abrahams is also a nonexecutive director of the Foschini Group, the Lewis Group and New Clicks, where she sits on the remuneration and transformation committees of these companies. She serves as a nonexecutive director of Kapela Investments, TSN Research Surveys and African Boomerang Investments. Abrahams has served as nonexecutive director and chair of Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Holdings, as well as on the boards of Transnet and B2B Africa. She was also dean of the faculty of economic & management sciences at UWC from 1999 to 2002. Abrahams holds a PhD in commerce. A married mother of two, she enjoys reading, travelling and gym.
