Imtiaz Ahmed is the chief investment officer of Macquarie First South Financial Services. Before joining the company early in 2008, he was chief investment officer of Investment Solutions and executive director of Investment Solutions Holdings. Ahmed is the founder and former executive director of Khonani Holdings and served as executive director and head of external clients at Stanlib Asset Management from 2002-2004. Prior to that, he sat on the executive committee of Fedsure Asset Management (now part of Investec). A qualified chartered accountant, Ahmed served articles with Coopers & Lybrand. Ahmed holds a BComHons degree from what was formerly the University of Natal. He is married, and enjoys reading, jogging and spending time with his family.
