Millard Arnold is an executive director of Murray & Roberts. He is also known for his work on human rights, having served as executive director on the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and authored Steve Biko: Black Consciousness in South Africa and No Fears Expressed. He was MD of the Masakata Group, a management consulting firm specialising in political and strategic risk management. He has been executive chairman of Black & Veatch Africa and minister counsellor to the US department of commerce for the Southern African region. He was also policy adviser to the Botswana Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Manpower for two years. Arnold was a professor of law at the Touro Law School in New York and a senior fellow of the Carnegie endowment for international peace in Washington DC. He is co-chairman of the Unisa Foundation, a member of the Unisa council and chairman of Tactic Group.
